Since 2015, The Baby Pantry in Atlanta has been providing essential resources to mothers and babies in need.
Chlorey Campbell always had the desire to help others. Her passion for serving the community was sparked when she once helped a young single mother obtain the basic necessities for her newborn. This experience led her to volunteer at Salem Bible Church’s pantry, which provided food and clothing to those in need. Eventually, her compassion and dedication to helping others inspired Chlorey to start The Baby Pantry. Her story is an example of how kindness and empathy can make a difference in the world.
Our mission
The Baby Pantry is a nonprofit organization that aims to provide essential resources to mothers and babies in need. We believe that every baby deserves a healthy start in life, and we work hard to make sure that families have access to the resources they need. Our mission is simple: help families save money and improve their financial stability by providing necessities like baby food, clothing, milk, diapers, and wipes. We believe that by providing these basic needs, we can help families focus on what really matters: the health and well-being of their children.
Fifty percent of our donations come from individuals, 25% from organizations, and 25% from corporations. -Pullout quote
Reduce infant mortality
Many women in Atlanta who are living in poverty face the daunting task of providing for their newborns without a support system. Fortunately, The Baby Pantry is working hard to make a difference in the lives of these mothers and their babies. We also have a new Daddy Ambassador Program to get our dads more involved, too.
The organization has made a significant impact on the community by helping to reduce the rate of infant mortality. Many families are unable to afford necessities such as baby food and formula, which can lead to malnutrition and other life-threatening health problems for infants. The Baby Pantry provides these families with the resources they need to ensure that their children are healthy and well-nourished. We believe that every baby deserves a healthy start in life, and we work hard to help parents raise healthier babies.
Foster a sense of community
But The Baby Pantry is more than just an organization that provides resources. We also foster a sense of community among mothers and families. Many mothers who use our services have formed friendships and support networks that provide emotional support and help them navigate the challenges of parenthood. The Baby Pantry is a place where mothers can come together to share their experiences, learn from each other, and find comfort in knowing that they are not alone in their journey.
Get involved
Despite our best efforts, one of the biggest challenges we face is a lack of support from the community. In order to continue our work, we need your help.
One way you can lend a hand is by organizing and sorting donations. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and we will work with your schedule.
Donating your new or gently used (like-new) baby items is another excellent way to help. Drop off the urgently needed items to any location below.
